Topaz Upscale

Topaz Labs is a Dallas-based company building AI-powered photo and video enhancement software for creative professionals. Founded in 2005 by Albert Yang and led by his son Eric Yang, it grew as a bootstrapped business; Adobe announced a definitive agreement to acquire it on 25 June 2026, with standalone products continuing. Its Topaz Photo, Topaz Video, Gigapixel, Astra and Bloom products use proprietary models for upscaling, denoising and restoration, and the same models are exposed through the Topaz Labs API and partner endpoints such as fal.
